Academy Award winning actress Kate Winslet once said: “I’d wake up in the morning before going off to a shoot, and think, I can’t do this; I’m a fraud.” Women tend to be victims of imposter syndrome more often than men and are more likely to attribute their successes to luck or contacts, as opposed to talent and hard work. Learn how to avoid imposter syndrome to get the job you want!

One of the biggest workplace fears reported across age groups is public speaking. Unfortunately, most of us will have to speak in public at some point in our careers. Fear of public speaking is almost universal, but can be easily overcome with the right tools – learn them in our public speaking workshop.

From banking and accountancy to investment and insurance, the finance industry has a wealth of roles. After the banking crash and the recession, students’ perceptions of financial services had an impact on graduate recruitment, but with the industry making a fast recovery, there are plenty of opportunities for new graduates.
INTRODUCTION TO CODING
Women continue to be seriously underrepresented in the technology sector. This workshop for women is aimed at total beginners, you don’t need to have any knowledge of coding to sign up. During the workshop, you’ll learn the basics of coding and be given information about further free coding workshops. This workshop is trans-inclusive. We encourage sign ups from all women and non-binary people.
It’s widely recognised that there’s a lack of representation of people from BAME (Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic) backgrounds at senior management level. This workshop will encourage you to focus on building your leadership skills and will allow you to hear directly from BAME role models that exist in senior leadership positions.
There’s some truth in the phrase: “It’s not what you know, but who you know.” Networking could play an essential part of your career development, and for candidates from diverse backgrounds, it can do so much more. Learn how to utilise this skill from professionals who have used the power of networking in their own career.
THE LANGUAGE OF
Women are four times more likely than men to be self-deprecating, use humour and speak indirectly or apologetically when broaching difficult subjects with senior members of staff in order to avoid conflict. This workshop will help you learn why speaking your mind could be good for your career!

If you’re at odds with whether to come out to your future employers and colleagues, this workshop is for you. Hear from senior LGBT executives about their experience of being out at work and how to make the most of it.
